How do you reorder, delete, or duplicate pages in a PDF?

Drag a page's thumbnail to a new spot, or use the move, duplicate, and delete buttons on each page — that's the whole workflow, no printing, rescanning, or desktop software required. Docuboxer loads the file in your browser, renders a thumbnail for every page, and lets you build the new order with your mouse, keyboard, or a finger on mobile, all before it rebuilds the final PDF with one click. Move a page with the ←/→ arrows, duplicate it when a cover sheet or an exhibit needs to appear twice, or delete it when it doesn't belong (as long as one page remains). Made a mistake? Undo reverts the last step, and Reset restores the file's original page order at any time. Everything runs locally in your browser: the PDF is never uploaded to a server, the tool is free, and no account is required.

How to use Organize PDF Pages

  1. Drag your PDF into the upload zone or pick it from your file browser — Docuboxer renders a thumbnail for every page in batches, so the tab stays responsive even on long documents.
  2. Reorder pages by dragging thumbnails to a new position, or use each page's ←/→ arrow buttons; duplicate or delete pages with their dedicated buttons.
  3. Check the new order in the preview. If something's off, hit Undo to revert the last change, or Reset to restore the original page order entirely.
  4. Click Download PDF to generate the reorganized file and save it straight to your device — nothing passes through a server.

Common use cases

Fix a scan that came out in the wrong order

When an auto-feed scanner mixes up sheet order or splits a stack into two passes, fix the resulting PDF's page order in seconds instead of rescanning the whole thing.

Strip blank or duplicate pages left by a scanner

Duplex scanners often insert blank separator pages between documents, or scan the same sheet twice by accident. Delete them one by one from the thumbnail view before you file the PDF away.

Move a table of contents or cover page to the front

If you merged several files into one PDF and the cover or index ended up buried in the middle, drag it to the start instead of redoing the merge from scratch.

Duplicate a signature page or a repeated exhibit

When a contract needs the same signature block or exhibit inserted in more than one section, duplicate that page directly rather than copying it in from the source file again.

Get the page order right before printing or binding

Before sending a PDF to print or a binder, arrange the pages exactly as they need to appear in the physical document, section dividers and cover sheets included.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reorder PDF pages for free?

Drag thumbnails into a new order, or use the move, duplicate, and delete buttons on each page, then download the reorganized PDF. No payment, watermark, or account required.

Does reordering or duplicating pages reduce PDF quality?

No. Each page is copied exactly as it exists in the source file, without re-encoding text or images, so the output keeps the same quality and per-page size as the original.

What if my PDF is password-protected?

You'll need to remove the password with /unlock first. A protected PDF can't be read to generate thumbnails or reorganize its pages.

Can I undo a mistake after moving a page?

Yes. Undo reverts the last operation — move, duplicate, or delete — and Reset restores the document's complete original page order at any point.

Is there a limit on page count or file size?

You can upload PDFs up to 500 MB. For documents with many pages, thumbnails render in batches so the browser doesn't freeze while it works through them.

Does my PDF get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser — from generating thumbnails to rebuilding the final file. The document never leaves your device.

Can I delete every page except one?

You can delete pages down to a single remaining page, but the tool won't let you remove the last one — a PDF needs at least one page to be valid.
