At Docuboxer we built the platform on a simple principle: we cannot lose, leak or sell data we never possess. This policy explains what information is processed, which cookies we use, how the advertising that keeps the service free works, and what rights you have over your data.
1. Local file processing (Zero-Server)
When you use any Docuboxer tool (compress PDF, convert images, developer or data tools, etc.), your files and their contents never leave your device. Everything runs 100% in your browser via WebAssembly. Docuboxer has no visibility into, no access to, and keeps no copies of the documents you process. Your usage history is stored locally in IndexedDB and is deleted when you clear your browser data.
2. Usage analytics
To understand which tools are used and keep the site fast, we use two analytics services: Vercel Analytics (cookieless, aggregated and anonymous) and Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics does use cookies (such as _ga) that assign a pseudonymous identifier to your browser to measure sessions and page views in aggregate. We never combine this with the contents of your files (which, as noted above, we never receive).
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Docuboxer stays free, in part, by showing ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure ads and, with your consent, to personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage or turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings and at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. See also how Google uses information from partner sites.
4. Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will see a consent message (managed by Google's certified consent management platform under the IAB TCF framework) before any analytics or advertising cookies are activated. You can accept, reject or customize your preferences and change them at any time. Personalized ads are not served without your consent.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California and equivalent laws), you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to object to its processing, to withdraw consent, and to request that it not be "sold or shared" for advertising. Because we create no accounts and store none of your files, most data lives only in your browser and you control it by clearing site data. To exercise any right, email us at privacidad@docuboxer.com.
